“In October 2019, I got sick with severe back pain and after a series of tests in
December, I finally got diagnosed with lymphoma. It’s a kind of blood cancer. In January, I had to start treatment as quickly as possible cause it was already in the fourth stage. There was nothing that could have been done or said to prepare me or my family for the challenges and changes my body had to go through, as well as the mental struggles. I will not lie to you and say that it was a breeze or that it wasn’t tough, but I am eternally grateful that God came through for us every time. He never left me and even when I couldn’t feel Him as much, He was always there, ready to take my hands. He made it easy to endure through faith.

After my first chemotherapy, I lost so much weight. On a normal, I weigh maybe 52kg, but after chemo, I started to weigh between 42kg to 48kg. I looked like a bag of bones. I had skin irritations from some of the medicines, dis-coloured lips, partial baldness all around my head (until I finally shaved it all off), aggravated ulcer, couldn’t eat or drink water, I couldn’t even swallow my own saliva cause it made me throw up, the headaches were not from this world. I couldn’t take a bath even, my mum used to wash my body with a towel on the bed or on a chair because I couldn’t stand.

One day I was telling my aunt how much I’d lost weight and she told me about the story of Ezekiel and how God took Him to the valley of the dry bones and
commanded him to speak life, breath and flesh to them, and it happened. She said I should speak to my body that the God that could raise an entire army of dry bones back to life could definitely fill up my own small body. From that day on I’d say my name and speak flesh over my bones, speak clear skin that Jesus has been set as a ransom for me, my skin shall be fresher than a child’s and I shall return to the days of my youth. For every time I felt sick from chemo or weak in my spirit, I would speak life over my body up until the very moment when the news of remission came after my 3rd chemo. Jesus had healed me and I knew He healed me completely from the very

What I’ve learned throughout this tribulation and I’d like others to learn is that the Word of God is Alive because JESUS IS ALIVE. If it says so in the Bible, then I believe it and that settles it. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. The power of life and death lie in the tongue and because I have experienced this first hand, I will never again use my tongue to speak death or to speak the negative. My words will bring life.”

My words will bring life! Energy!!!

“We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.” -2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (NLT)

This article is a sequel to the article Doubt, Fantasy and Truth where I spoke about the disbelief of some people in the authenticity of Biblical accounts. The #21stcenturyBiblestories movement was enacted not only to establish that the Bible tells no lies but also communicate that individuals in the 21st-century experience similar accounts as presented in the Bible and to boost faith in God.

Please kindly maintain the hashtag trail (#21stcenturyBiblestories) when sharing on various media platforms. Thank you for staying put. I hope this article has sparked something revolutionary in you.
